Title of Position Job Category Direct Supervisor
Special Needs Coordinator Children’s/Youth Executive Administrator

 1. Synopsis of Role
Part-time position (10-15 hrs/wk) to serve Highland Park Community Church by creating a fun and loving environment for the Special Needs Children in our congregation.

2. Principal Responsibilities

  • Maintains positive communication with Children’s/Youth leadership: mentors, group leaders, and volunteers.
  • Plans and implements a yearly Church-wide event for special needs families.
  • Communicate with parents as they drop off their special needs children at Sunday morning services.
  • Designs and Implements Classroom curriculum and activities.
  • Assists in training volunteers.
  • Communicates with volunteers throughout the week.
  • Communicates with special needs families throughout the week.
  • Coordinates volunteers for weekend services and events
  • Attends regular Elementary/Youth staff meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Performs required administrative tasks in a timely manner
