Welcome to Highland Park Community Church!
We are so thankful that you are here. We believe that pursuing God with your whole heart can sometimes feel risky but is always worth it. Jesus was a risk-taker. He risked humiliation, ridicule, and most of all, His life to reach the lost and show them God’s love. We want to be a church willing to take these same risks to reach our community for Christ by following our mission to “Take Risks to Pursue God and Love Like Jesus.”
OUR BEGINNING
In 1952 God led a handful of believers and a bi-vocational pastor to begin a house church. Two years later, construction began on a building at 955 South Washington, and we became the First Church of God. By faith and with the labor of willing volunteers, the church was completed, and God filled the building with people.
OUR PRESENT
At HPCC, we believe one of the most effective ways to build God’s Kingdom is to have Jesus Conversations, it is imperative that we walk together and embrace the community that God has placed us in. Jesus chose to be in community, which is why we need to choose it for ourselves. I invite you to join the HPCC community by connecting to Group Life at Highland Park.
It is through the relationships that God has put into your life that help you grow in your giftings and your relationship with Jesus. HOW CAN I CONNECT?
- Two-weekend worship services @ 9:00 and 10:45 AM.
- Celebrate Recovery on Friday Nights beginning at 5:30 with dinner.
