Purpose: To carry out the vision and mission of HPCC by building and implementing a dynamic worship experience/program at all services.

Technical Director Job Description

Highland Park Community Church is looking to hire a full time staff member whose primary concern is to oversee the Production Team and provide direction for all A/V related areas on the church campus, as well as any off-campus events. HPCC is a large, growing church in Casper with 2000+ average weekly attendance (pre-Covid). We have a main worship center seating 1647, youth worship center seating 450, chapel seating 300, atrium for large group meetings, and kids ministry room which holds 200. We have a full building on Wednesday evenings with kids and youth activities, small group meetings, and worship team rehearsal. We also have a Celebrate Recovery service on Friday nights in addition to our two regular services on Sunday mornings. 

We are interested in a person who has high-level knowledge and experience in live audio production (will serve as main FOH mix engineer), RF management, stage lighting, presentation software and live video production (including video routing software). This person needs to be an excellent audio engineer, understand signal flow, know how to use a video switcher, have knowledge regarding scenic design and lighting, know how to program presentation software (ProPresenter 7) and be able to lead a team of volunteers (approximately 15-20) to create distraction-free worship services. Knowledge of color temperature concerning lighting/cameras, video frame rates and SDI routing is also preferred.

Familiarity or experience with Yamaha digital audio consoles, Dante, Ross video switchers, Blackmagic/Panasonic/Marshall cameras, and ETC lighting consoles is a plus. 

This position reports directly to the Worship Arts Pastor and will oversee a full-time Technical Associate. Salary is dependent on education, skill and experience. 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out the vision of leadership
  • Inspire, train, and lead paid staff and volunteers 
  • Producing worship services and leading pre-service run through
  • Provide oversight/maintenance/upgrades/repairs for audiovisual equipment on HPCC Casper Campus and remote events
  • Research, recommend, coordinate and/or install AV purchases
  • Participate in planning meetings and creative team meetings
  • Manage/upgrade and record as needed using the recording studio on campus (using Logic Pro X)

Kidz Ministry Administrative Assistant Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the ongoing administration of Children’s Ministry to ensure efficiency of operations
  • To attend weekly planning meeting with Children’s Ministry Director
  • To establish and maintain an efficient filing system for all records
  • To provide clerical support which will include data entry, correspondence, printing, reports, etc.
  • To prepare and send out notices for meetings including agendas and materials
  • To maintain an inventory of supplies and resources; ordering and restocking as directed
  • To create bulletins, sign in forms, name tags, etc. as needed for ongoing and special events
  • To update web page, prepare articles for newsletter, social media content and bulletins
  • To receive incoming phone calls and mail routing to appropriate place when necessary
  • To prepare calendar, schedule and arrange appointments, meetings, conferences, etc. to coordinate with church calendar.
  • To collect and distribute weekly attendance sheets, guest registration cards, etc.
  • To assist in scheduling and training of staff, contract workers, and volunteers
  • To assist in the promotion of Children’s Ministry initiatives throughout the year (ex.Family Experiences, VBS etc. claiming ownership of assigned responsibilities and following through to successful completion.
  • To advise in the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and space by various groups in the church
  • To ensure adherence to the annual Children’s ministry budget according to church policy
  • To prepare check requests; maintain financial records and files
  • To be aware of Highland Park Community Church Children’s Ministries Policies and Procedures as outlined in handbook
  • To keep informed on current church methods, materials, promotional ideas, and administrative techniques, using them where appropriate
  • To be informed of church goals, emphases, publications, materials, and plans for using them as they relate to the local church and its programs
  • To assist with other church initiatives as directed by the Church Administrator and/or Children’s Ministry Pastor
  • To act as a liaison with office staff to coordinate with and support other ministries and to handle inquiries concerning upcoming children’s activities and events
  • To be prepared to perform other duties as deemed necessary by Director or Church Administration due to increased attendance, evolving ministry, and building needs.

Skills Required:

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision, making decisions as appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint, Pages, Photo Shop
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Maintain current contact information for volunteers and help them connect with social media forums that the Kids’ Ministry uses.

 Qualifications:

The Administration Assistant must have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and be submitting their daily walk to the Lord.

Current CPR, First Aid and AED training.

 Time Commitment:

Approximately 25-29 hours weekly- May vary slightly with season and/or special events
