Does your child have a heart to serve? We are here to provide the space and opportunity to make that happen! Please read the available roles below and select which suits your child and their desires best.
HP Kids Little Chef Team:
Open for preschool-5th grade
Mission: Children will learn how to serve others with joy and humility.
Focus Verse: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
Expectations:
Arrive at 5pm on your scheduled Wednesday nights (when Awana programming is taking place) to learn how to prepare fun and age appropriate dishes, before our HPKids Awana volunteers arrive for dinner at 5:30pm
Serve with a joyful heart
Complete tasks before eating and help with clean up
Attend Awana after serving, if they are available
HP Kids Theater Team:
Open for 3rd-5th grade
Mission: Children will teach and act out bible stories in an engaging and exciting way for their peers by mirroring Jesus’ model for storytelling.
Focus Verse: Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd using stories. He did not say anything to them without telling a story. Matthew 13:34
Expectations:
Serve on the theater team on Sunday mornings, which will be scheduled by you and the team leader
Arrive at 5:00pm on the Wednesday night before the Sunday they’re serving (for example, if your child is scheduled to serve on Sunday, September 14th, they would attend practice at 5:00pm on Wednesday, September 10th)
Practice and dinner will take place before Awana check-in begins at 6:15pm (dinner at 5:00pm with actual practice beginning at 5:30pm)
HP Kids Worship Team:
Open for 4th-5th grade
Mission: Children will lead peers in worship and will learn why worship is important to one’s faith journey, alongside a community of other passionate students.
Focus Verse: Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Psalm 105:2
Expectations:
Serve on the worship team on Sunday mornings, which will be scheduled by you and the team leader
Arrive at 5:00pm on the Wednesday night before the Sunday they’re serving (for example, if your child is scheduled to serve on Sunday, September 14th, they would attend practice at 5:00pm on Wednesday, September 10th)
Practice and dinner will take place before Awana check-in begins at 6:15pm
HP Kids Hype Team:
Open for preschool-5th grade
Mission: Children will welcome families into our space through joyful encounters.
Focus Verse: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 1 Peter 4:8-9
Expectations:
Arrive at the scheduled time, depending on if you schedule your child for Sundays at 9am, Sundays at 10:45am or Awana on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm
