Your child has expressed interest in baptism, and we couldn’t be more excited to walk alongside your family in this journey! Baptism is one of the most significant milestones in a believer’s life- a public declaration that they were lost, but now they’re found!
What to Expect at our HPKids Baptism Class
This class is designed to equip both you and your child as you take this next step together. We’ll answer important questions like:
What is baptism and why do we do it?
What does baptism mean in light of God’s mission to reach the world?
How does baptism fit into their journey as a follower of Jesus?
Is my child ready to publicly proclaim they’re a follower of Christ?
The whole family is welcome, and brunch will be provided!
You’ll leave with a 21-day family discipleship study on salvation that will help your child dig deeper into their faith and give you tools to continue discipling them at home.
What Happens After the Class?
We’ll stay in close contact with you and your child as they prayerfully consider if they’re ready to take this step. Baptism is a big decision, and there’s no pressure- this is about their heart being ready, not just checking a box.
If your child decides they’re ready: Amazing! They’ll join us for our HPKids Baptisms and Celebration on Sunday, June 28th at 12:30pm, where they’ll be able to publicly declare their faith surrounded by family and friends. A live stream link can be made available for loved ones who aren’t able to be here in person. (Registration link for this special day to follow for inviting friends and family)
If your child decides they’re not ready yet: That’s completely okay! We’ll continue to walk in discipleship with your family, equipping you with resources as they grow in their faith. This is a journey, not a race.
Important Notes
At least one parent is required to attend the class with their child
Brunch will be provided for the whole family
